Home Gardens

The gardens at my parents' home in Ameliasburgh have been my experimental plots since I first became interested in plants and planting design while studying at Guelph. Starting with the transformation of a formerly dull (but sadly typical) front garden of junipers, Spirea and cedars into a densely planted perennial garden I've dug up ever more ground in order to trial an ever growing list of plants and test ideas. Even after I've moved out they continue to enable my obsession and the lessons learned from experiments here have been applied directly to the projects I'm now working on for clients.
